What interventions and approaches does LACH believe makes sense for our State?
Our policy paper highlights a breadth of interventions — from removing small barriers like fees for birth certificates and identification to creating pots of emergency rental assistance that can be used to prevent vulnerable families from falling into homelessness in the first place.
Where can I go to find out more information about homelessness in Louisiana?
The Louisiana Services Network Data Consortium (LSNDC) tracks data on homelessness, supportive services and housing interventions. Their website provides a robust picture of why people become homeless, how they can be and are assisted and how impactful and effective those interventions are.
Who can I turn to for nationally recognized best practices on ending homelessness?
The National Alliance to End Homelessness (NAEH) is at the forefront of advancing best practices among practitioners and with policy makers. They provide training, lead advocacy, and convene national conferences.
